General

What is the delivery time for my order?

Ordered before 21:00, delivered to your door within 24 hours on working days. We dispatch the product(s) you ordered once we have received your payment. You will automatically receive two emails: one when the payment has been completed and one as soon as your order has been shipped.

Can I return my items?

You have the right to cancel your order up to 30 days after receipt. After cancelling, you have a further 14 days to send the product back to Fodor. Always include a copy of the invoice or packing slip with the shipment.

The product must be returned complete and, where reasonably possible, in its original condition and packaging. Is the product damaged, or has it been used more than was necessary to assess it? Then we may deduct this loss in value from the amount to be refunded.

Do you also install products?

We do not install products in your home.

How do I place an order?

You can easily place your order directly in our webshop at www.fodor.nl. Add the products you want to your shopping basket and check out securely. Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation by email.

The product I received is broken, what now?

We're sorry to hear that. Did you buy the product from us at www.fodor.nl? Then please contact our customer service and we will help you further with a repair, return or replacement. If possible, include a copy of your proof of purchase and a few photos of the defect, and state the serial number of the product. Did you buy the product from another shop? Then please contact that shop.

Can I pay later?

With Klarna, if you are offered that option at checkout. You can also pay with iDEAL Wero, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express or Union Pay).

How can I contact you?

We can be reached by phone on working days, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. If you have left a question or comment via the contact form, we will do our best to answer it within 2 working days.

To handle a technical question or a question about a defect as well and as quickly as possible, it helps us to receive as much information as possible. If possible, always include a copy of your proof of purchase and any photos of the defect. Always state the serial number of the product as well.

How long is the warranty on my purchase?

2-year manufacturer's warranty

In addition to the legal guarantee, all our items come with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. Should anything unexpectedly go wrong in the first 2 years, you can make use of the repair service straight away. Our team of specialised technicians is ready to help you.

Legal guarantee

When you buy a product, it must have the properties that you as a buyer can reasonably expect of it. In the Netherlands there is no fixed term for the legal guarantee; instead, it depends on what could reasonably be expected of the product. What you may expect depends on all the properties of the product, such as the price and the type of product. The term can therefore differ from product to product.

If the product does not have the properties you can reasonably expect of it, you may be entitled to, for example, a free repair or replacement. That is the basic idea behind the legal guarantee. There are, however, exceptions to this rule.

What are you entitled to?

When you buy a product, you as the buyer automatically enter into an agreement with the seller. This purchase agreement comes with a legal guarantee. That guarantee means that if the product does not work properly, the seller must offer a suitable solution (provided they can reasonably do so). The solution may consist, for example, of free delivery of a missing part, free repair of a defect or even free replacement of the product, all within a reasonable period and without serious inconvenience. If none of this turns out to be possible, in some cases you may also be entitled to a discount or even to dissolution of the purchase agreement. In the latter case, the product is taken back and you get your money back.

The legal guarantee means that you as a buyer are entitled to a good, sound product that has the properties you may expect on the basis of the purchase agreement.

What can you expect from a product?

As mentioned, as a buyer you are entitled to a good, sound product. As a buyer, you may expect the product to have the properties required for normal use of that product. But what exactly does that mean? That depends on all kinds of factors, including the price, the type of product and what the seller has promised. It is also good to take your own use into account. How intensively do you use the product? Where is the product kept and how well do you maintain it? For example, an appliance from a more expensive segment that is used a few times a week, is well maintained and stands in a dry room will generally last quite a long time. This is in contrast to a cheap appliance that is never cleaned, is used every day and stands in a damp cellar.

Some products contain parts that wear out. Some parts stay in good condition for the entire lifespan of the appliance, while other parts wear out a lot faster. Household appliances also contain parts that are subject to wear. These can be moving parts such as the motor or hinges, or plastic parts such as the door seals. These parts cannot be expected to last for the entire lifespan of the appliance. If these parts are worn out, this does not mean that the appliance is defective. Repair or replacement due to wear of these parts is therefore not covered by the legal guarantee. Fortunately, there is a lot you can do yourself to limit wear, such as proper maintenance.

What role do use and cleaning play?

The seller supplies a product that has the properties you may expect of it, but it is up to you to use the product in a normal way: for its intended purpose and as described in the user manual.

Normal use of a household appliance also includes cleaning it regularly. How often this needs to be done depends on the type of appliance and how often you use it. Regular cleaning extends the lifespan of the appliance. Think of an appliance with an element that needs to be descaled regularly. If you do not clean a product with some regularity and it breaks down, this can be seen as the cause of the breakdown, a so-called user error. Also think of not installing updates after the seller has notified you of them. Defects resulting from such situations are not covered by the legal guarantee. What should you do if an appliance does not work properly?

If a product breaks down within twelve months, the law assumes that you did not receive a sound product. You are then entitled to a free solution to the problem from the seller, unless the seller can prove that the product was sound at the time of delivery. If a product breaks down after these twelve months, it is up to you to show that the product was already defective at the time of delivery, unless the seller acknowledges that it is a defective product.

Would you like to make a claim under the legal guarantee? Then please contact the party you bought the appliance from. Preferably do this as soon as possible and no later than two months after discovering the problem, otherwise your claim to a free solution may lapse.

What guarantees are there in addition to the legal guarantee?

In addition to the legal guarantee, the manufacturer's warranty applies. This gives you extra security on top of the legal guarantee and does not affect it in any way. We do not offer any additional warranties. Did you buy your product from another shop or online retailer? Then you may have taken out an extra warranty or insurance through that shop.

Who should I contact?

For the manufacturer's warranty, you can always contact us or your seller. For an extra warranty you purchased separately, please contact the shop where you bought it.

Televisions

How do I install digital TV?

Do you have a television with a DVB-C tuner and are you unable to install the channels correctly? Then please contact our customer service and we will send you the correct installation instructions for your series.

Is my television Ziggo certified?

Salora televisions have had Ziggo certification since 2013. Would you like to know whether your old or new television is Ziggo certified? Then take a look at Ziggo's customer service page.

I have connected the TV cable, but the TV says 'no signal'.

To be able to install the channels, the TV needs to be set up again. Check with your provider for the correct information about the frequency and the network ID.

The Wi-Fi on my television is not working.

Is your smart TV connected to the network, but the internet is not working, or does the TV switch off the Wi-Fi automatically (Android TV)? Then the TV probably needs an update. You can request one via our service form on the Technical service page.

I can't connect my TV to the Wi-Fi at the holiday park or campsite.

At many holiday parks and campsites, the Wi-Fi works via a login page in the browser. Not all televisions can connect to networks like these. If in doubt, please contact our customer service.

Ziggo TV app and KPN TV+

How many centimetres is an inch?

24 inches = 61 cm, 32 inches = 81.3 cm, 39 inches = 99.1 cm, 40 inches = 101.6 cm, 43 inches = 109.2 cm, 50 inches = 127 cm, 55 inches = 139.7 cm, 58 inches = 147.3 cm, 65 inches = 165.1 cm.

What is the difference between an HD, Full HD and 4K Ultra HD TV?

The difference lies in the picture resolution. HD has a picture resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, Full HD has 1920 x 1080 pixels and 4K has 3840 x 2160 pixels. The more pixels, the more detailed the picture. An Ultra HD TV has 4 times as many pixels. You do, however, need an Ultra HD picture signal for this.

What is a smart TV?

A smart TV is a television that you can connect to the internet. This means that in addition to regular TV programmes, you can also use various apps such as YouTube, Netflix and Videoland. A number of apps come pre-installed on the television. Check the smart platform to see which options are available. Not all smart platforms offer the same applications.

Which smart systems are there?

We currently offer 2 smart systems: Google's Android system and the VIDAA system.

How can I download apps on my television?

In recent years, we have supplied televisions with various smart platforms: Opera, Foxxum, Android TV (2021) and VIDAA (2023).

Opera and Foxxum: on both platforms, apps only become available once the developer has made them available on the platform in question. This means you may not be able to find new apps such as Viaplay, Spotify and Disney+. If you still want to watch other apps on the TV, an external Chromecast is a suitable option.

Android TV: on the Android TVs in our range, you can install other apps afterwards. YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ come pre-installed. You can easily install other apps via the Google Play Store.

VIDAA: VIDAA is a fast and easy smart operating system that loads quickly and gives you access to some of your favourite apps. Available as standard are Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Disney+, NLZIET, KIJK and Viaplay, among others.

What does built-in Chromecast mean?

Thanks to the built-in Chromecast, you can stream content to your television from another device such as a phone, tablet or laptop. Chromecast is a media streamer from Google. You can buy this small device separately, but nowadays it is increasingly built into Android TVs. This means you don't need to buy a separate Chromecast.

What is the best way to stream films and series?

There are plenty of ways to watch your favourite film or series. You can do this with a smart TV via apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime or Videoland. If you have a television without a smart environment, you can use external devices such as an Apple TV, Chromecast or games console.

I have lost a part of my television, can I order it separately?

Have you lost the stand or the neck of the television? Then you can reorder them via our website. Type the model number into the search bar and you will see the right parts. Can't find it? Then leave a message stating the model number.

Where can I find accessories for my TV?

TV accessories are available in our webshop.

Do you install the television?

We do not have an installation service. Various (online) shops do offer this option. Ask them for more information.

My television does not support my CI+ module?

Over the years, TV providers have released various CI+ modules. As a result, your new TV may not recognise your module. All current televisions in our range support CI+ modules from version 1.3. Do you have a version 1.2 module? Then it will not work on the new television.

Does my TV have a 12-volt connection?

Some models have a 12V connection. This allows the set to be powered via a 12V connection. This is ideal on the road, at the campsite or on a boat. Most 22-inch and 24-inch models have this 12V connection. Whether a set has a 12V connection is stated in the specifications. There you can also see whether the 12V cable is included.

I can receive digital TV channels, but I can't find the radio stations?

Do you enjoy listening to the radio as well as watching TV? You can do that with your television too. While you are watching TV with a channel on, do the following:

Option 1: press MENU, go to Channel list, select Active channel list and choose Radio only.

Option 2: press OK/ENTER, go to Channel list, press the blue button (filter) and set TV/Radio to Radio only.

I want to pair my universal remote control with my TV, but the code is not accepted?

There is not always a solution for this. It is the responsibility of the manufacturer of the universal or programmable remote control to develop codes for our televisions. If the available codes do not work, we have virtually no alternative.

What does the term LED mean?

Every television has a light source in the screen, because without light a television has no visible picture. An LED TV uses LED lighting.

Can your televisions be mounted on the wall?

Yes, all our televisions can be mounted on the wall. All models have a so-called VESA mount. The dimensions can differ depending on the size of the television. For example, it may be 75x75 mm or, on the larger models, 200x200 mm.

How do I choose the best picture format?

Choosing the right picture format depends on various factors, such as the viewing distance and the resolution of your source material. If in doubt, please contact our customer service.

How long is the warranty on my television purchase?

You have two years' warranty (24 months) on your television.

Action cameras

What is an action camera?

An action cam is a mini sports camera. This light and compact video camera is water-resistant, dustproof and shockproof. That makes it ideal for capturing your adventurous and sporty moments.

Why an action camera?

An action cam is water-resistant, dustproof and shockproof. With a compact action camera, you capture every (sporty) moment smoothly: pin-sharp and in widescreen format. You can shoot videos (including slow motion) and take photos. You can attach an action camera to your helmet or chest, so you don't have to hold it while filming. That is why action cameras are popular for (water) sports such as mountain biking, rafting or surfing. An action cam is also perfect as a security camera at home or for shooting underwater footage.

How long can you record with an action cam?

The camera can film continuously for a maximum of 29 minutes at a time. The battery lasts about 90 minutes.

What types of action camera mounts are there?

There are mainly three types of action cam mounts: a body mount, a head mount and a helmet mount.

Projectors

What is the difference between lumens and ANSI lumens?

Lumens are the total light output the projector can emit. ANSI lumens are the actual light output projected onto the wall from the minimum projection distance. Brightness decreases as the distance between the wall and the projector increases.

Can I use my projector in daylight?

Our projectors use an LED lamp. Compared to DLP or laser technology, an LED lamp gives off less light. That is why we advise darkening the room where the projector is as much as possible.

Does the projector make a lot of noise?

A projector produces heat. This heat is removed by a built-in fan. This noise is kept to a minimum, so it is not experienced as disturbing.

What are the advantages of a projector with an LED lamp?

LED has two important advantages: LED is very energy-efficient and LED lamps have an extremely long lifespan of up to more than 30,000 hours.

Can I watch TV on the projector?

Yes, that is possible. The easiest way is to connect the TV receiver to the projector with an HDMI cable.

Does it have to be dark to watch images from the projector?

Just as with watching television, sunlight on the screen can have a negative effect on the picture quality of the projection. For the best experience, we advise darkening the room.

How do I clean the projector lens?

You can clean the outside of the lens with a soft microfibre cloth and a screen cleaner. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents and always do this carefully.

How big does the wall need to be?

How big the wall needs to be depends on the minimum and maximum projection size. Check the projector's manual for the minimum projection size and the corresponding minimum distance between the projector and the wall.

Can I replace the lamp in my projector?

The lamp of an LED projector cannot be replaced. This part is soldered onto the circuit board.

Do you also sell the lamp for the projectors separately?

No, these are not sold separately.

What is the difference between a beamer and a projector?

There is no difference between a projector and a beamer. The word beamer is used in some European countries and has the same meaning as projector.

How do I mount the projector on the ceiling?

Some projectors can be attached to a bracket. There are screw holes on the underside of the projector for attaching a bracket. Not all projectors have a 360-degree flip function.

How do I connect the projector?

To project images, a projector has various connections. For example, you can use the USB port to connect a USB stick to project photos and videos, or connect a laptop or PC via VGA or HDMI.

Which accessories do I need to use the projector?

To use a projector, you need the remote control and connection cables. This can be an HDMI cable or a VGA cable. Check what is needed before use.

How long is the warranty on my projector purchase?

The projectors come with a warranty period of 2 years.

Can the projector project wirelessly?

Several projectors in our range have a screen mirroring function. This lets you project the picture wirelessly from your phone or laptop. Check the options of your device before use.

Which projector is best for watching a film?

That is the BEAMER6042 with a picture resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD). This projector has the highest ANSI lumens in our range and has 2x 10 watt hi-fi speakers.

Freezers

What should I look out for when buying a freezer?

Before you buy a freezer, it is important to consider where you want to put it. There are different kinds of freezers. For example, you need an integrated freezer if you want to build it into your kitchen. There are also different models: tall freezers, but also table-top model freezers, which are very practical in small spaces or under a worktop. Also take a good look at the energy label, so you avoid high energy costs. Finally, you can look at the design of the freezer.

What is the lifespan of a freezer?

On average, you will enjoy a freezer for 15 years.

What is the best temperature for a freezer?

The ideal temperature for your freezer is -18 degrees Celsius.

What is the best ambient temperature for a freezer?

Freezers have a climate class. These classes are divided up and each has different minimum and maximum temperatures within which a freezer can function properly.

What size is a table-top model or mini bar model freezer?

The height of a mini bar model freezer is about 50 cm. The height of a table-top model freezer is about 85 cm.

Are your freezers energy-efficient?

Because of the new energy labels, products suddenly seem less energy-efficient. Yet the product is no less energy-efficient; it is exactly the same. Only a few things have changed: energy consumption is assessed more strictly and ends up in a lower energy class, and sometimes the method for calculating energy consumption has been adjusted so that it better reflects actual use.

How cold should a freezer be?

The ideal temperature for a freezer is -18 degrees Celsius. This is cold enough to stop bacteria from forming and to store food for a long time. Setting a freezer even colder is unnecessary: a lower temperature has no effect on how long you can keep your food.

How long can you keep meat in the freezer?

Meat keeps for 2 to 9 months in the freezer, depending on the type of meat. Pork: 2 months. Mince, lamb and poultry: 3 months. Beef: 9 months.

How do you defrost your freezer?

Switch the freezer off, empty it and use a defrosting spray, for example. Use a wooden spatula or a plastic ice scraper to loosen the large chunks of ice. Catch the melted ice water with towels and a bucket. Clean the inside with warm water and soda and then dry it with a cloth.

How long can a freezer go without power?

In a closed freezer, your products will keep for 10 to a maximum of 24 hours. If your food has not yet thawed, it is suitable for refreezing. If it has become soft on the outside, you should eat it within 2 days or keep it in the fridge. If the food has thawed completely, use it the same day. Perishable products such as fish and meat are best thrown away. Look, smell and taste to assess the product.

What types of freezers do you have in your range?

We sell mini bar model freezers and table-top model freezers. These freezers are smaller than a standard freezer.

Portable DVD players

Besides DVDs, can I also play media files, such as films and music, on my portable DVD player?

If your portable DVD player has a USB or SD connection, then yes, you can use it to play media files.

What is the maximum size of USB stick or SD memory card that is supported?

Officially, the maximum supported capacity of the USB port and SD card reader is 2GB, but in most cases a larger USB stick or SD memory card is read without any problems. The USB stick or SD memory card must, however, be FAT32-formatted.

Can I use any USB stick on my portable DVD player?

In principle, you can use any USB memory stick; only with USB MP3 players can we not guarantee correct operation. The stick must, however, be FAT32-formatted.

Can I use any SD memory card on my portable DVD player?

For SD cards too, virtually all SD cards can be used. Depending on factors such as capacity, SD cards are available in various versions, such as SD, SDHC and SDXC. We cannot guarantee correct operation with SDXC. The card must, however, be FAT32-formatted.

How do I use the portable DVD player in the car?

In the car, you connect the DVD player to the cigarette lighter with the supplied 12V adapter. The player then runs on the car's power, but this does not charge the battery. You charge it with the mains adapter while the player is switched off: the light is red while charging and turns yellow when the battery is full. A full battery is good for about 2 hours of viewing.

Is the portable DVD player cordless?

The DVD player can be used cordlessly. This applies to the models DVDPLAYER14, DVP9948DUO, DVP7748DUO, DVP9048TWIN and DVP7048TWIN.

Does the DVD player have a USB connection?

All portable DVD players have a USB connection.

Which video and audio files can I play on my portable DVD player?

Our portable DVD players support a wide range of video and audio files. For audio, we mainly recommend using MP3. For video, things are a little more complicated. The most popular video formats are AVI, MP4 and MKV. Both AVI and MP4 come in a large number of variants, called codecs. Support therefore depends on the codec used.

For AVI files, we recommend: format avi, video codec xvid, audio codec mp3, resolution 720x405. For MP4: format mp4, video codec MPEG4, audio codec mp3, resolution 720x405. MKV files are not supported by our portable DVD players.

What can I do if my portable DVD player does not play my AVI or MP4 files?

First check whether the USB stick, disc or SD card is FAT32-formatted. Other file systems are not supported. Then check whether the file meets the requirements described above. Various free programs for checking and converting files can be found online, such as Handbrake or Freemake Video Converter.

I have a portable DVD player with 2 screens, but the picture on the second screen stays blue. Why is that?

If you have a portable DVD system with 2 screens and the second screen stays blue when playing a film while you can hear sound, this may have the following causes. On the DUO models (such as DVP7748DUO), the second screen must be set to AV In with the remote control. If it is set to AV Out, you will hear sound but have no picture. In addition, the connecting cable must be pushed all the way into the socket, which can sometimes be stiff. Are you watching files via the USB or SD port? Then the file may be bound by licences, so that it is only shown on the main screen. By setting the player to the NTSC colour system in the settings, you will have a picture on both screens again.

Does the DVD player have a Bluetooth connection?

The portable DVD players do not have a Bluetooth function.

How much memory does the DVD player have?

The DVD players do not have any internal memory.

DVD players

What kinds of files does a DVD player play?

A DVD player supports the most common digital video and photo files. This means you can play files in formats such as MPEG, AVI, MP4, MP3, JPEG and more. A DVD player plays DVDs on which digital video and/or music is stored.

How do I connect a DVD player to the TV?

Most DVD players come with an HDMI cable. Plug the cable into the socket marked HDMI on the DVD player and the other end into the back of your television. Make sure there is a free power socket to connect the DVD player to the mains and switch the device on. Then use the remote control to select the right source by pressing the source button (Source) until you have selected HDMI.

What can you do with a DVD player?

With a DVD player you can, for example, play DVDs on a TV. To connect the DVD player to your TV, you need an HDMI cable. The device supports various media files, such as mp3, mp4, avi and jpeg.

Fridges

What is the best energy class for a fridge?

All fridges must have a European energy label. A fridge with label A is the most efficient, G is the least efficient.

What is the right temperature for a fridge?

The right temperature for a fridge is between 3 and 4 degrees Celsius. It is important that your fridge is set cold enough, as this is meant to prevent the growth of bacteria and mould.

What size is a table-top model fridge?

The standard height of a table-top model fridge is 85 cm and the width varies between 45 and 60 cm.

What is the capacity and width of a table-top model fridge?

Our table-top model fridges have a net capacity of 80 litres (COOLFREEZE48BL and COOLFREEZE48WH) or 93 litres (COOLFREEZE47WH) and are 47.2 cm wide. In general, the width of a table-top model fridge varies between 45 and 60 cm.

How do I keep the fridge clean?

Make sure the chilled products are always wrapped. Wipe the inside of the fridge with a damp cloth every now and then.

How much energy does a table-top model fridge use?

This differs per model. You will find the correct information about power consumption in the specifications.

Speakers

Which speakers are best for me?

Which speaker is best for you depends on what you are going to use it for. Are you looking for a speaker to play music on that also works as a sleek side table? Then go for one of our AirTables. Are you more interested in a speaker to connect to your television? Then take a look at our range of soundbars. When choosing, consider the various functions, such as manual connections, Bluetooth, the mounting system and an optional subwoofer.

Which speakers do I need for my TV?

Are you a real music or film lover? Then the sound from your television may not be enough. A soundbar is a perfect solution for improving the sound quality of your television. Think about whether or not you want a built-in or separate subwoofer to complete the cinema experience.

What is a party speaker?

Party speakers are speakers that often have built-in light effects. They are easy to move around and add extra atmosphere to a party.

How do wireless speakers work?

With Bluetooth you can play your favourite tracks via your phone or tablet. You make a Bluetooth connection with the wireless speakers when you are near the speakers.

How many watts of speaker power do you need for a party?

For music at home, 100 to 150 watts is sufficient. For a garden party, a larger party speaker of at least 600 watts is recommended.

Microwaves

Which microwave is right for me?

There are different kinds of microwaves available. If you only want to heat up food, a standard microwave will do. If you also want to use the microwave to bake food in, a combination microwave is more suitable. After all, a combination microwave has an oven and a grill.

Is 700 watts enough for a microwave?

The power of a microwave is given in watts. Most microwaves have a power of between 700 and 900 watts. This is enough to heat up your food.

How much does a basic microwave cost?

A basic solo microwave for reheating and defrosting dishes is available from a friendly price. See the current range and prices in our webshop.

Which microwave do you offer?

Our range includes the Salora MICROWAVE2070, a solo microwave with a capacity of 20 litres and 700 watts of power.

What is the difference between a solo microwave and a combination microwave?

A solo microwave is only for defrosting or reheating your meal. With a combination microwave you can also grill or bake.

How do you clean a microwave?

Wipe the inside of the microwave clean with a soft cloth, sponge or paper towel. Stubborn stains can be removed with steam: heat a microwave-safe bowl with a cup of water for 1 to 4 minutes on the highest setting, leave it to stand for 5 minutes and remove it carefully with a soft cloth.

Which materials can go in the microwave?
