Good to know
Which size suits your room?
Measure the distance from your sofa to where the TV will go in centimetres and divide by 6. The result is the size in inches that is comfortable to watch. At 2 metres that is 32 to 43 inches, at 3 metres 43 to 55 inches and at 4 metres 55 inches or larger.
Resolution
- HD Ready (1366 x 768): the 32-inch models, for the bedroom, kitchen or motorhome
- Full HD (1920 x 1080): 40 and 43 inches
- 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160): 43 to 75 inches
QLED is not a resolution but a picture technology that some models have on top of their resolution. You can read about the difference in QLED, Full HD, HD Ready and 4K UHD explained.
Operating system
The smart TVs run on VIDAA, Android TV or Google TV. Which system you have and what that means for you is explained in VIDAA, Android TV or Google TV. If you only watch via a set-top box, there are also models without smart features, such as the LED32TV and the LED43TV.
Frequently asked questions
How do I set up my new TV?
Follow the steps in Setting up your Salora smart TV, from unboxing to watching.
What is a return deal?
A TV that a previous customer sent back within the cooling-off period, which we have checked and made complete. You get the same warranty of at least 2 years. View the return deals.
Do you charge for delivery?
No, delivery is always free.
Can I send it back?
Yes, you have a 30-day cooling-off period.
Which size suits your room?
The rule of thumb: divide your viewing distance in centimetres by 1.6 for a 4K screen. If you sit 2.5 metres away, you end up at around 55 inch. For HD screens, divide by 2.5, because up close you see the pixels sooner.
- 24 to 32 inch: bedroom, kitchen, student room, caravan
- 40 to 43 inch: small living room or second set
- 50 to 55 inch: the most popular size for the living room
- 65 to 75 inch: large room, viewing distance from 3.5 metres
VIDAA or Android?
Our FOD series runs on VIDAA, the SMART series on Android TV. VIDAA starts up faster and is easier to use. Android gives you the Play Store and therefore more apps, plus built-in Chromecast. Both have Netflix, YouTube, Disney+ and Prime Video as standard.
QLED or regular LED?
QLED gives brighter and more saturated colours, which is especially noticeable in a bright room. If you mostly watch in the evening with the curtains closed, the difference is smaller than the price suggests.
Frequently asked questions
How many HDMI ports do I need?
Count your devices: set-top box, games console, soundbar. Most of our sets have three as standard.
Can I mount it on the wall?
Yes, all models have a VESA mount. Check the size in the specifications before you buy a bracket.
What is the difference with a return deal?
A return deal was sent back within the cooling-off period and checked by us, with the same warranty as a new item. The packaging is damaged, the item is complete and there may be light signs of use.
