Which load capacity?
A drum that suits your household is the most economical.
- 3.6 to 4.6 kg: camping, student room, holiday home
- 6 kg: one to two people
- 7 kg: two to three people
- 8 kg: families of four or more, or if you regularly wash duvets
What spin speed do you need?
1000 rpm is enough if you dry your laundry on a rack or line. If you use a dryer, a higher spin speed saves drying time, because the laundry comes out of the machine drier.
Before you switch the machine on
At the back of every new washing machine are four transit bolts that hold the drum in place. They must be removed before first use, otherwise the machine will not stay still during the spin cycle. Keep them for when you move house.
Stacking
If you want to put the dryer on top of the washing machine, use a stacking kit. It keeps both appliances in place during the spin cycle.
Frequently asked questions
The machine won't start and CL or KS is flashing.
The child lock is on. Press and hold the two buttons with the lock icon between them for three seconds.
The laundry comes out soaking wet.
Imbalance. There is a heavy item in the drum, or too little laundry. Redistribute the load and select the Spin programme.
Water stays in the drum.
Check the filter at the bottom right behind the flap, that is where coins and buttons get caught. Keep a small bowl to hand.
My dryer isn't drying well.
Usually the moisture sensors are dirty. Wipe them a few times a year with a cloth and a little vinegar.
