Product description
A 750 Wh battery and hydraulic disc brakes for the long rides. The BOHLT Q26 is an electric fat bike on 26 inch wheels, whose 250 W motor assists up to 25 km/h and which, according to the manufacturer, covers 65 to 80 kilometres per charge. Big wheels and plenty of battery make it suitable for commuting and for rides along forest paths and beach roads.
Riding and assistance
With 26 inch wheels, you roll along smoothly and take bumps more easily than on small wheels. The assistance has 5 levels, from a gentle nudge to powerful pedalling. The drive runs via a Gates belt on a single gear: no chain to lubricate, no grease marks and a quiet, even pedal stroke.
Battery and charging
The battery delivers 48 volts at 15.6 Ah, 750 Wh in total. The pack comes out of the frame with the battery key, so you can charge it indoors while the bike stays in the shed, the bike storage or the garage. A full charge takes about 9 hours, and you can always top up in between.
Brakes and suspension
Hydraulic disc brakes modulate with little hand force and hold their bite point, even on a descent or with luggage. The suspension fork absorbs speed bumps and potholes. Front and rear lights are included.
Frame
The aluminium frame is built in one piece, without a hinge, and with the battery the bike weighs 34 kg. That gives it a calm, stable ride on the road.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the battery take to charge?
About 9 hours from empty to full. You can top up in between whenever it suits you.
Can I charge the battery indoors?
Yes. You remove the 750 Wh battery pack from the frame with the battery key and charge it indoors, while the bike stays outside.
Can I ride it on the cycle path?
Yes. Pedal assistance up to 25 km/h with a 250 W motor requires no helmet, driving licence or registration plate and belongs on the cycle path.
Can I also ride without assistance?
Yes. Set the assistance to zero and keep pedalling on the Gates belt. The single gear is tuned for flat terrain.
How heavy is it?
34 kg including battery. If you take the battery out, you have less to lift.
What kind of frame does it have?
A fixed aluminium frame without a hinge. That gives the Q26 on 26 inch wheels its stiff, stable ride on the road.
